For a limited time only! While supplies last!
Special “Black Friday” sale price: $50/each
Produced largely in 1864 and 1865, these tent styles are set apart by almost exclusive use of blue-line duck cloth, metal buttons, and linen corner reinforcements. The Type IIIa tent has the typical four reinforcements while the later Type IIIb is supplemented by a fifth reinforcement centered at the foot of the tent to facilitate a third peg loop. Original contracts show that both styles were manufactured in the east and the majority delivered to New York and Philadelphia depots. Cincinnati received a smaller number in late 1864.
Each tent blank is made from a short run of blue-line cotton duck by Family Heirloom Weavers and includes a machine sewn tent body, buttonholes and grommet holes punched, Manila rope for peg loops and guy line, cotton cord for hand sewing, 23 tin buttons, beeswax, and sewing instructions. We only have fourteen halves available for this sale so act quickly before they are sold out!
